About this piece

A wide, shallow bowl gives pasta, salads and noodle dishes room to breathe, and looks as good on the table as it does in the hand.

The material

Porcelain is fired at a very high temperature until the clay turns dense, hard and smooth. It is thin for its strength, takes bright colour and fine painting well, and rings clearly when tapped.

Glazes and decoration vary slightly from piece to piece, so yours may differ a little from the photograph. That is part of how ceramics are made.
